DESCRIPTION

Hypertrophic scars, hyperpigmented scars & keloids formed following surgery or injury.

A silicone gel that creates an elastic, waterproof, electrically charged layer on the skin. This layer disrupts the over-accumulation of collagen fibrils in the injured tissue and seals the area from bacteria and impurities, while still allowing air to penetrate.

Reduces the volume and thickness of scars and keloids caused by surgery, accidents, burns or acne, while simultaneously improving their appearance.

INDICATIONS

• Hypertrophic and hyperpigmented scars of any aetiology (surgical procedures, accidents, burns, acne, etc.)
• Keloids
• Scars on the face or areas of the body where silicone sheets are difficult to apply

INSTRUCTIONS

Application of Froika Scar Gel can begin immediately after the wound has healed completely and never on open wounds. Use the gel twice daily on clean, dry skin. Place a small amount of gel on the tip of your finger and apply along the entire length of the scar. Massage for a few minutes, applying gentle pressure to the skin, until fully absorbed.

EVALUATION

Keloids and hypertrophic scars occur following injuries, surgical procedures and burns, and also as a secondary result of inflammation caused by infections, acne and other conditions.

The formation of keloids and hypertrophic scars is due to:

1. Increased size and hyperactivity of fibroblasts in the scar area, which produce up to twenty times more collagen than normal.
2. Abnormal development of irritation and inflammation during the healing process.
